Known by its amazing size and color, Whale Shark or scientifically known as
Rhincodon typus are considered as one of the giants in the sea. A highly oceanodromous animal, it cruises the line in the tropic regions mainly in search for foods. Sightings were in the regions of Atlantic, Pacific, Red Sea, and Philippines. This fish is common in areas where plankton blooms are present and abundant. It has small filtering teeth specialized in filtering small organisms, such plankton and micro-size marine organisms.

This species is already in CITES list of endangered fish species. Its population has been depleted due to harpoon fishing. Currently, this fish has been protected and plays an important role in ectourism. This fish has less threat to humans.

There is a big whale shark in Japanese aquarium .When I saw it, I didn't believe it is a fish.By the way the whale shark is the 2st one because 1st one passed away.
